چکیده
Surface geothermal expressions such as mud pools, fumaroles, mineral deposits, collapse pits, and hydrothermal eruption craters vary in scale type over space time. The evolution time of these surficial thermal features strongly relates to alteration processes caused by fluids. changes the physical mechanical properties top subsoils that can control fluid flow, degassing patterns, occurrence hazards remain understudied. area located south Rotokawa field (New Zealand) includes a variety major natural surface widespread sulphur deposits precipitated acid–sulphate fluids steam-heated zones. Decades mining induced formation new features. Such setting represents an exemplary case study for investigating old recently formed features, soil characteristics, types patterns superposed alteration, processes. We combined laboratory methods define groups types, associated alteration. Their spatial distribution indicates circulation, intensity, are influenced local regional geological structural settings, well activity. found at water table level within excavated areas, acidic led deposition sinters, stromatolites around warm springs pools. In vadose, portions, generally leach degrade Taupo Pumice, resulting broad unstable grounds structures, while extensive sulphur-encrusted sulphur-rich soils sites. this framework, circulation affected dominant layer type, turn its granulometry, texture, state. Our yields precious insights into expression variability, fluid–rock interaction processes, Processes may influence migration manifestations, gas outputs, ground subsidence environments. From broader perspective, our results will help assess activity related similar areas worldwide.

Integrated Alteration Mineralogy and Fluid-inclusion Study at the Dixie Valley Geothermal Field. Nevada
Cuttings from geothermal wells in Dixie Valley, Nevada document the complex history of the Jurassic reservoir rocks now contained within the hanging wall of the Stillwater normal fault. Six stages of postOligocene alteration can be recognized on the basis of mineral paragenesis, rock associations, fluid-inclusion temperatures and apparent salinities. The paragenetic sequence from oldest to youn...
متن کاملSilica from Steam Condensate Alteration at Tikitere, New Zealand
Silica residue is the main product of the alteration of a rhyolitic, tuff-rich, volcanic substrate by acid sulfate condensate formed, in a major steam field at Tikitere, near Rotorua. Here steam and accompanying H2S discharge in an area characterized by large standing pools of acid water and mud pots. As in silica sinters, that precipitate from hot, near-neutral, alkali chloride waters, the fir...

15 صفحه اول: examining l2 teachers’ corrective feedback types in relation to learners’ uptake, proficiency levels, and context types
abstract this study investigates the teachers’ correction of students’ spoken errors of linguistic forms in efl classes, aiming at (a) examining the relationship between the learners’ proficiency level and the provision of corrective feedback types, (b) exploring the extent to which teachers’ use of different corrective feedback types is related to the immediate types of context in which err...
Fluid Geochemistry at the Raft River Geothermal Field, Idaho: New Data and Hydrogeological Implications
Following a period of exploration and development in the mid-late 1970’s, there was little activity at the Raft River geothermal field for the next ~20 years. US Geothermal Inc. acquired the project in 2002, and began commercial power generation in January 2008. From mid-2004 to present, US Geothermal Inc. has collected geochemical data from geothermal and monitoring wells in the field, as well...
